Bee Hoon is one of the most commonly consumed Chinese noodles worldwide. Typically known to locals as Mihun, Mi hoon, Mee Hoon, Bihun, or Bee Hoon, this type of noodle is found abundantly due to both high demand and supply. As the thin noodles are made out of rice, bee hoon primarily consists of carbs. Therefore, they are best consumed with other ingredients such as vegetables and protein. Fried Bee Hoon is a pretty common dish that can be executed through different variations. Today, we seek out the best fried bee hoon in the heart of our nation.

Limapulo: Baba Can Cook
Limapulo: Baba Can Cook is led by Nyonya cook Uncle John since its beginnings (Yes, he is the Baba). The eatery is ultimately known for its authentic Nyonya delicacies, particularly the curry laksa. That aside, the Nyonya Fried Mee Hoon is also simple yet delicious and satisfying. The dish is offered in weekday set lunches at only RM 9.90 and is certainly one to grab if you're into dishes like it.

Ginger Restaurant
Ginger is located in a tourist attraction area but has no problems with attracting locals at the same time. The restaurant serves Thai food and is pretty damned good at it. Decorated with natural hues and dark wood, the place is comfortable and pretty too. The bestsellers here are classic Thai dishes such as tom yam goong, pad thai, mango salad and of course, Thai fried mihun! Request for extra spicy if you'd like as the dish is generally served non-spicy.

Restoran Setapak Teochew
Restoran Setapak Teochew is currently run by a third-gen whereby 74-year-old Mr. Ng is still going strong! Started by his late grandfather in 1912, the eatery is now evidently well loved by locals for great Cantonese-Teochew dishes. In this case, we're particularly speaking for the stir-fried white rice vermicelli! The fish cakes, bean sprouts, cabbages, onions and deep fried shrimps in this dish come together like Backstreet Boys back in the '90s, and We Want It That Way ;)
