Best Dim Sum in PJ

Famous for constantly offering promotions for seafood and a hotspot for wedding dinners, Pantai Seafood has undeniably attracted many to its restaurant. Apart from that, the use of premium ingredients which incorporates into their dim sum has been well received as well. Their Siu Mai + Abalone dim sum for instance, looked pretty straight-forward but taste absolutely delicious. And that's just a small part of the extensive menu as the sides available sure work wonders with the dim sum.

Peninsula Chinese Cuisine serves fine Cantonese dishes. For dim sum lovers, you will be spoilt for choice of the dim sum selections on the menu. The dim sum choices are such as pork dumplings with ebiko, salted lava egg yolk bun, glutinous rice with chicken, prawn dumplings with salad sauce and more. Besides dim sum, this restaurant also offers rice, noodles, seafood, and other Cantonese dishes.  

Canton-I serves mostly Cantonese dishes like dim sum, wonton noodles, congee, succulent roast duck, barbequed meat and egg tarts. Tang Room is a Chinese cuisine restaurant located in The Starling Mall. The spacious restaurant has sophisticated rose gold and bronze infinity knots which represents eternity and presents a lifestyle Chinese cuisine restaurant. Their dim sum received compliments from customers before because of how delicious it is! The dim sum is served on push carts on Sundays while on other days, they are served by ordering the dim sum through the menu.  

Encased in luxury, Spring Garden Restaurant is a subsidiary under the Tai Thong Group. They excel in fine Chinese cuisine that is perfectly executed with traditional cooking ways, and they're located amidst the lush greens of Tropicana Golf and Country Resort's golf greens. From stunning braised abalone to double-boiled soup, most of what's available are absolutely delicious. Similarly, the dim sum here are really good. Freshly made upon order, quality ingredients and a common taste that many would enjoy. Hitting the sweet spot between great scenery and delectable food, this place sure needs to be on your bucket list. 

Ee Chinese Cuisine is Eastin Hotel's Chinese restaurant, and a great one at that. They are also a banquet place so weddings and events can be held here. For those that are just looking for a place to dine, their dim sum selections are pretty good as well. Unlike most restaurants, Ee Chinese Cuisine prides themselves in freshly made dim sum, as well as custom made masterpieces. Tethering together good service and beautiful backdrop, EE Chinese Cuisine is surely the place to be especially if you’re into something fine and fancy. 

Dian Huo Xin Wo is a stunning steamboat restaurant that is situated in Kelana Jaya. Yes, you can now enjoy hot steamy steamboat while drivers along the LDP suffer in the horrible jam - what a sight to behold. Now, moving on. Steamboat isn't the only thing that they're good at as their dim sum has gotten quite the recognition as well. Each basket is made fresh upon order so you can expect everything to taste really well. Their strong suite here is their homemade dumplings and meatballs, both of which are really good!

Grand Imperial Restaurant is another Chinese banquet house that is fairly popular amongst the people of Bandar Utama. As the name suggests, the restaurant does look rather luxurious, especially when you're having your wedding or birthday celebration. Amongst all that luxury lies a menu that caters to most Chinese people. Similarly, the dim sum here is really good as well as the chefs pride themselves in serving freshly made dim sum. A good variety is also the key component here, and the main appeal is everything is made equally scrumptious. 

Oriental Pavilion, under the Oriental Group of Restaurants, has been the go-to place for many families staying in the surrounding vicinity. This Chinese banquet restaurant has been around for quite some time, and some of their best dishes include dim sum. What makes them stand out from the rest of the dim sum restaurant is the variety. They offer quite an extensive array of dim sum, some of which are their own creation. However, it's to be expected that the price of this place is a little steep, so be warned. Nevertheless delicious. 

Paradise Dynasty has been around for a pretty long time. They are also the first to introduce their signature 8 flavoured 'Xiao Loong Pao', which is best eaten according to a certain order - the most bland moving towards to most flavourful. Starting from the original, then the Ginseng, Foie Gras, Black Truffle, Cheesy, Crab Roe, Garlic and finally, Szechuan flavoured 'xiao loong pao'. Yes, some flavours are just beyond our imagination for dim sums. Apart from that, they also offer a pretty damn good basket of lotus paste bun with salted egg yolk and radish pastry!

Don’t get the idea of bright coloured dim sum case but nevertheless, Jin Xuan Hong Kong is one of the most successful dim sum restaurant in Malaysia. Accounting to a total of 6 branches all over Klang Valley. Though they do not serve high-quality, Oriental restaurant-like dim sum, they sure do provide decent dim sum at an affordable price. Popular for its Siu Mai and various other dumplings, this place has people coming from afar for a nice dim sum breakfast. And be sure of including their Golden Custard Buns and Fried Scallop into your order. 

Similar to Mutiara Palace, Jaya Palace is also a full-fledged Chinese restaurant that serves dim sum for breakfast and ala-carte for lunch and dinner. Hidden along the congested road of Federal Highway with almost no sight of its signboard as it is blocked by greeneries. On the other hand, they do have quite a selection on their dim sums, offering the basics and some of their own speciality. Flavours were great and it goes really well with their fried carrot cake with XO sauce and Hokkien mee. Not forgetting, the friendly and fast service that made the experience a whole lot better. 

Mutiara Palace is a full-fledged Chinese restaurant that serves dim sum for breakfast and ala-carte for lunch and dinner. Fresh and flavourful are the best adjectives to describe the range of dim sums on offer. To pamper your palate further, do grace up the table with well-known sidekicks like yam rice, fried carrot cake and the restaurant’s speciality, seafood! But if you’re really in the mood to splurge, their smoked roast duck and assorted seafood got to be in your bucket list. Aside from that, they also provide banquet for weddings and annual dinners. 

On a tight budget but have an unfortunate craving for dim sum? Not sure where to have dim sum around SS2? Loong Seng has the answer you need. Offering a wide variety of dim sum at an extremely affordable price with no cutbacks on taste and quality. Aside from the regular choices, the real deal here is the lala (clams) dim sum which has a medley of fish and pork paste infused with bits of corn, carrot, mushroom, spring onions stuffed in its shell. Delicious! Pair up the delectable morsels with the pan-fried radish cake or char siew pau for optimal satisfaction. On a side note, the upper floor is fully air conditioned. 

Key Hiong Dim Sum has been one of the usual dim sum places for many of the locals. Though there might be several other dim sum restaurants around the area, the locals suggested highly on Key Hiong instead. Nothing too impressive about the ambience, plastic tables and chairs are scattered on the inside and outside. Serving usual dim sum dishes at affordable price is what one can expect here. Having said that, they do have a small amount of special-made dim sum that no other restaurant serves. Besides that, salted egg yolk custard bun, BBQ pork bun, yam rice does not disappoint too.
