Best Coffee in Kuching

If you wish to taste the true essence of Sarawak coffee, this is the place for you. At Black Bean Coffee, you can enjoy a wide variety of coffee, including their very own Sarawak coffee in this traditional looking and quaint place. There are limited seats, merely 3-4 tables but waiting for them or have a take-away is well worth the effort. The coffee brewed by hand and the aroma is captivating. 

Bing! Coffee is a great place for friends and family to gather, have a chat and simply to have a good time. The place itself is incredibly cozy and warm, perfect for a mid-size group. There's also solo tables to those who wishes to do their work here. Coffee here is without a doubt, pretty good. It may be rather sweet as it is more inclined towards the style of Starbucks, but they also have their own brewed coffee. 

Indah House in Kuching is the perfect spot for art lovers and hipsters. This is a place where one can simply take a sip of coffee while appreciating the various locally drawn batik on the wall, floor and pretty much everywhere else. The place is fairly small so you might have to wait for seats. On the other hand, the option to take away their aromatic coffee is available as well.

Cuppa-Kap Coffee is not a Thai restaurant, nor does it have anything to do with Thailand even though it ends with 'kap'. Anyway, this cozy little place has several attractive key features - one of them being the amazing range of latte art they barista is capable off. The other is the choice of macaroons to pair. You can get the standard ones, or go for the ice cream filled macaroon instead. In the end, it's your choice.

Sukha is a stunningly rustic looking cafe with a play on modern furnitures with rather old art pieces (there's bicycle on the ceiling so yeah, do give that some thought). But do not let this fool you as they do offer quite a delicious array of local and western delights. To finish, they also have a series of standard hot and cold coffee that goes really well with the desserts too.

Talking about massive, The Coffee Factory is a huge establishment with mezzanine floor and what not, that is located in JT Building, Kuching. This place is also a great place for many of the Instagrammers to take their photos and post it up online as the place is stunningly beautiful. Moreover, The Coffee Factory also offers good coffee at a fairly reasonable price. 

This place may sound fancy as hell, but the truth is, it is. Yeah, with timber struts hanging by the ceiling as a decor and tabled engraved with their logo, one would wonder just how much money does the owner have. Regardless, you're here for coffee, not cash (thought it would be nice to have both). Fortunately, Destino De Espresso is a great place for both coffee and cakes. 

Where do you go to when you're sick of coffee? The Coffee Clinic! The irony and lameness behind that joke is truly something to behold. Regardless, this place is great, whether or not you are feeling sick. They offer freshly brewed coffee that aromatically permeates the shop, allowing all of its guests to have a whiff of it. Lovely!

Two of the best beverages in own - coffee and beer. You can now indulge yourself in a high dosage of caffeine, followed by a rush in your blood stream through alcohol. What a time to be alive! The place is fairly small and cozy, but should be sufficient to fit a group of 5-6 people. Enjoy a conversation or two over a cup of coffee and beer at a chilling cafe instead of a loud bar - a change of pace is nice sometimes.

There is no way to tell if the idea behind the name Foam Work has got anything to do with the fact that they use quite a number of timber structures in their cafe, but one thing for sure is that this place is definitely worth visiting for a cup of coffee. It may not be the fanciest of cafes, but it is good enough for a chilling session with a couple of friends. The coffee here too are quite nice, but slightly mild compared to many. There's also cold frappes for those who are into that. 

Some say that if you have a coffee obsession, then you have to pay this place a visit. Despite them having quite a large menu, half of them aren't all that delicious. The one and only thing that is worth going for is definitely the coffee. They offer both hot and cold, depending on what you like and are brewed upon order. No 3-in-1, no premixes - just good ol' fashion grind and brew.
