Restoran Sun Chui Yuen
Restoran Sun Chui Yuen has been a household name among the locals for a quite some time. The ambience is rather simple and unpretentious but the food here is no less of deserving an applause. Your first and last hurdle would be selecting your dishes from the extensive menu. We recommend starting with their shark fin soup and moving forward with black pepper crab and salted egg tiger prawns. Another scoring point here is the wide selection of grilled seafood as well as other Malaysian delights like satay. And don’t be stressed up by the pricing, it's known to be reasonable.

Restoran Fu Wah
Despite the amount of mushrooming Chinese restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, this humble-looking eatery has never failed to win over the loyalty of all ages. And it’s no easy feat to find an empty table during lunch hours. Highly recommended dishes are Guinness pork ribs, deep-fried yam rings and butter fried chicken. No matter what you choose, it becomes extra delightful when eaten together with rice or noodles. The dishes come in generous portions and cheap price tag and the best part is quality is not compromised at all. A place to consider if you’re on a budget.

Hup Kee Seafood Restaurant
Nothing to write home about the ambience of the restaurant but what draws in a diverse crowd all the time is the delicious food. Options are pretty extensive that might have first timers overwhelmed, however we highly recommend their stir-fried black pepper pork slices, deep-fried crispy fish with soy sauce dressing, fried prawns with yam sticks and spinach soup. The traditional measure is to savour these dishes is with steamed white rice, but if noodle is your thing, Hokkien Mee is a subtle substitute. The best part is you won’t be expecting a spirit-sapping bill in the end.

Restoran Fatt Hei Len
Head up to Cheras to find one of the most revered Chinese restaurants in Kuala Lumpur. And justifying their reputation, one can expect teeming crowd during peak hours. Flashing an array of claypot dishes such as prawn stew rice, fish with wine and pork ribs into the already extensive menu is the main attraction here. Most of the dishes don’t offer a burden to your budget but if you’re in the mood to splurge a little more, you got to try their cheese crabs. All in all, this place would be a clever pick for both varieties and flavours.
