Nam Seng Bak Kut Teh
Nam Seng Bak Kut Teh is another great place to be if you're craving for pork. Quite amazingly, they're famed for their ribs instead of other cuts of meat. Just that alone in a bowl of piping hot soup somehow just makes everything a whole lot better. That is not to say that ribs are the only way to go, but it certainly is well worth the choice when you're choosing for your cut of meat. All and all, the broth poise a rich, sweet and delicate flavour while the pork pieces are all done to tender perfection.

This hearty dish has pork chunks that are chewy, flavourful and wonderful, especially on a rainy day. In the heart of the city, Sun Fong offers a BKT experience with indoor and alfresco dining. Their layout is clean cut and welcoming, ideal for large gatherings. They are known to serve a killer pork kidney and meat with big portions. Something unique Sun Fong serves in their seafood bak kut teh, which is tasty and fresh compared to the traditional thick overpowering flavour of pork (Which we love!). Also, a host of sides that are vying for equal attention. The best part? They have free refills of their tasty broth!

Fatty BKT at Old Klang Road is one of those stalls you might miss if you’re driving by. Inside there are three stations that specialise in different food. There are stir-fried dishes, Cantonese-styled steamed fish head and bak kut teh. They open at 6pm and close at 5am. This would be the perfect place for those out for supper or trying to sober up. Their broth can be salty and should be eaten with rice. Order up their tender small intestines, wine chicken and pig's tail. A satisfying BKT experience.

Ban Lee Bak Kut Teh
Ban Lee Bak Kut Teh is one of the few 24-hour BKT joints and we absolutely love them for that. This is a wonderful place for a quick meal or casual dinner. Their BKT has a strong herbal taste with Chinese wine. Stuck in a dark alley, you still won’t miss their red sign board and a teeming crowd that welcomes you to this Kuala Lumpur comfort food. Their small and soft bones are tender but still has a good bite and its best devoured with regular condiments like Chinese crullers and tau fu pok. A great place for late eaters!

The Barn
The Claypot Bak Kut Teh at The Barn certainly delivers in terms of aroma. When you first pop the lid off the pot, steam with the smell of stewed pork pieces in an aromatic herb stew base hits you instantly. In terms of ingredients, this bowl has kept it fairly simple, with pork ribs, three-layer pork pieces, lean meat and Chinese lettuce. As far as flavour is concerned, this pot of herbal porcine stew skews to a lighter flavour as opposed to the rich and heavy flavours that are commonplace with this dish. It is also great that the flavour of the soup has been absorbed by all the ingredients. On top of that, the pork is soft, tender and easy to pull off the bone.

View in Google Maps Ka Ka Bak Kut Teh
Ka Ka Bak Kut Teh is known as one of the most popular BKT restaurants in Kepong. They have been unofficially crowned as the 'King of BKT' and they have a pretty solid reason to that. The thick, rich and savoury sauce with a minor herbal undertone works well with those who can't accept the herbal-ish essence, but still flavourful enough to pack a punch. It is also served with generous chunks of pork, according to what kind of cuts you enjoy most; be it fat, lean or mix. All and all, this is a great place to enjoy the dry-form bak kut teh.
