Restaurant Bak Kut Teh Kim Tek
Bak Kut Teh Kim Tek is a breakfast BKT restaurant in Kepong Indah that serves a thick, gelatinous claypot Bak Kut Teh that is worth waking up for. They are often packed as early as the shutters are open; their broths are cooked in large pots and have an intense meaty infused flavour. The sai kuat or also known as small bone, will practically fall off the bone at the slightest touch. For optimal joy to your palate, throw in Chinese crullers and fried bean curd cubes into the mix. Set your alarm and get up early for this as they start their daily operation at 5 in the morning!

In the heart of the city, Sun Fong offers a BKT experience with indoor and alfresco dining. Their layout is clean cut and welcoming, ideal for large gatherings. They are known to serve a killer pork kidney and meat with big portions. Something unique Sun Fong serves in their seafood bak kut teh, which is tasty and fresh compared to the traditional thick overpowering flavour of pork (Which we love!). Also, a host of sides that are vying for equal attention. The best part? They have free refills of their tasty broth!

Ban Lee Bak Kut Teh
Ban Lee Bak Kut Teh is one of the few 24-hour BKT joints and we absolutely love them for that. This is a wonderful place for a quick meal or casual dinner. Their BKT has a strong herbal taste with Chinese wine. Stuck in a dark alley, you still won’t miss their red sign board and a teeming crowd that welcomes you to this Kuala Lumpur comfort food. Their small and soft bones are tender but still has a good bite and its best devoured with regular condiments like Chinese crullers and tau fu pok. A great place for late eaters!
