Doughy interior and a donut-like exterior, bagels have made quite a storm, especially in the breakfast and brunch scene. It's relatively fresh dough first boiled and then baked to a dense and chewy texture. Yes, it does sound and looks pretty simple but once it’s filled with a manner of meats, heaped with fresh greens, spread with cream cheese or gobbled down straight off the oven, one would be hard-pressed to find fault.
