Savaro, a combination of two words – savour
and aroma, is a FELDA owned restaurant that offers a wide range of local
delights as well as various Western treats. Aspiring in promoting Malaysian
cuisine everywhere, they aim to have at least 200 outlets all around Malaysia by 2020.
Beautifully decorated with a magical garden-like set up, the interior is simple
and cosy making it ideal for chit chat sessions with your friends and family.
For business meetings or big gatherings, you can make reservation in advance
for their private room that can fit up to 8 people.
If you are into Nasi Kerabu or Curry Mee,
you can definitely find them at Savaro. Regulars love their Savaro Noodles.
Imagine egg noodles in a concentrated, prawn-y broth, more or less like
Malay-style prawn mee. For something different, lemang sushi is a must-try. However,
their bestseller is definitely the Bambu Kerabu Rice. The food presentation
itself is very appealing. With the naturally tinted blue rice stuffed in a
bamboo like bowl, served alongside fried Tenggiri fish, salted egg, slices of
smoked beef and a generous pinch of local fresh herbs, toasted coconut shavings,
fish sauce and fish crackers, the dish really does taste like the authentic one
from Kelantan.
For desserts, Mango Pulut is definitely the crowds favourite pick. Savaro have their own version of Mango Pulut that consists of bright red coloured rice dipped in a pool of thick coconut milk and topped with fresh mangos. For something classic with a classy set up, Savaro certainly nailed it.
