Don’s Warong is a restaurant in Plaza Damas, Sri Hartamas that specialises in both Western and local favourites. If for some reason the name sounds familiar, then you’ve likely heard of Waffle Stop in KLCC and Alamanda, Noah’s Burger in Alamanda, and Uncle Don’s Cafe in Plaza Damas; all of which including Don’s Warong is under the Don family’s F&B business chain. Taking over the mantle from Uncle Don senior, the next generation of ‘Dons’ has fashioned Don’s Warong as a café that’s effortlessly cool and casual.

As far as the food goes, Don’s Warong offers wide selections of dishes that mostly consist of café favourites like fried and boiled eggs, chicken wings, sandwiches, fried noodles, Hainanese chicken chop, laksa, sup tulang, and soup noodles to name a few. However, one of the standout dishes at Don Warong has to be the Johor style nasi lemak, which can be had with either chicken curry or spiced fried chicken. Another dish to take note of is the beef burger, which is made with beef slices imported from Australia. To that same effect, the eponymous Don special is also worth the attention of diners.

To wrap up the meal, there’s a slew of dessert items to choose from. Some of these include waffles, ais kacang, banana split, and brownies. To wash all this food down, there are drinks like coffee, tea, milo, fruit juices, smoothies, and soft drinks to help with that. So if you’re looking to enjoy great western and fusion food, head on down to Don’s Warong.
