Nestled in the area of Sentul, a stone's throw away from Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPac), Bistro Richard exists as a gourmet bistro that serves one of the best European -more specific French; culinary marvels that the city of KL has to offer. Opening its doors to would-be patrons during the evenings on weekdays and noon on weekends, this particular restaurant caters to both family dinners or romantic culinary rendezvous. Accompanied by shimmering lights and cool air of the night, the ambience certainly pave way for a rather pleasant dining experience.


Being a restaurant that revolves around French cooking. it's safe to say that most of Bistro Richard's exquisite dishes -from appetisers to main courses to desserts and wine; entails a certain French element. For starters, patrons can always opt for their serving of escargots (very French) and minestrone soup to ease up the tummy for more gastronomical delights heading on your way. 


In terms of their main courses, Bistro Richard harbours an extensive array of chops and steaks ranging from a selection of poultry, pork, beef and fish, to pizzas, pastas and rice, as well as snacks if you are just here to unwind with a glass of wine or cocktail. For chicken chops, one might wish to opt for their Coq Au Vin -tender succulent chicken braised with rich red wine burgundy, along with beef bacon, mushroom and broccoli; while beef aficionados can opt for Bistro Richard's Char-broiled Fillet Mignon, steak served with truffle-tinged mashed potatoes, asparagus and ratatouille in a Cognac-laced morel sauce. Recommended medium rare or rare. The lamb dishes (Braised Lamb Shanks or Oven Baked Lamb Rack) are also worth a note as well.


Of course, if you are looking for a carnivorous gourmet trail, you can also opt for their signature pizza, the Bistro Richard Speciality which comprises of tomato, mozzarella, bell-peppers, pineapple chucks, roasted chicken, red chilli, basil olives and mushroom. Either that or have a go at their pastas. Their Spaghetti Vongole is quite the palate-pleaser. 


And needless to say, no French dining is complete without the company of a good bottle of wine and in terms of wine, Bistro Restaurant is no amateur. Sporting up to approximately 20 different selection of wine, patrons will be hard pressed to not find one that will fit their preference. And if anyone wishes to spruce up their night with more exquisite liquor, cocktails are not out of the question in Bistro Richard, too.
