All the smoked meat will be grilled and served on a sizzling platter while accompanied with two available sides with the choices of coleslaw, corn on the cob, fries, mixed veggies, pumpkin rice and mashed potatoes. To drizzle onto the 150 grams chunk of meat, you get the choice of sauces that are made from button mushrooms, caramelised onions, black pepper and as well as demi-glace. Rest-assured, the steak are juicy and tender but what is makes it more awesome is the affordable price!

Steak here is within one of their available set dinner meals where you will get a grilled rib-eye steak drenched with red wine sauce and then accompanied with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The moreish meat is also served with a choice of spiced fries or mashed potatoes, along with an array of sautéed vegetables, which make up a harmonious blend of colours to please your sight. Also, you have your daily rations of vegetables covered. What better way to complement your meal than a curated selection of wines. 

For those who are unaware, The Penthouse Subang offers one of the most amazing steaks you can find – especially The Tomahawk. It’s basically Wagyu Weighing at a minimum of 1.6kgs, yes, a minimum of 1.6 kilograms! So you better come in hungry. The Tomahawk was beautifully pink and was extremely juicy and succulent. It’s grilled with nothing but a sprig of rosemary and some garlic. Additionally, there was a serving of brown sauce along with some sea salt. Though the brown sauce was pretty pointless, the sea salt on the other hand worked remarkably. Absolutely lovely and definitely worth the price.

Rendezvous Corner, the restaurant that took over the famous SS15 Salmon steak, came a long way from Cheras (their mother branch) all the way here to Subang. Serving Western cuisine at an affordable price, this place has been earning warm accolades from the surrounds. Among the best seller here got to be their steak, served in a sizzling pan and topped with murky gravy and paired with mixed greens and fries. If you wish to explore the menu further - macaroni and cheese, chicken parmegiano and their famous cheese fondue are all available with pocket-friendly price tags. 

A humble and warm café located on the upper floor. Though the ground floor banner could have been a little bit bigger as it was pretty hard to find. For the local “Subang-ites” however, it has been a household name for many when it comes to Western food. Aside from their famous chicken chop or lamb shank, they do offer quite a decent steaks. Juicy, a little tough but generous ladling of gravy, which is great for those who don’t do so well with pungent beefy taste/scent. And the best part? You won’t expect an exploding bill. 

Las Carretas simply means “The Wagon” in Spanish and it’s the place to be for authentic Mexican fare. Apart from the well-known grubs like tacos, nachos, burritos and seafood dishes, their char-broiled steaks are highly rated too. If you’re willing to up your budget a little, sink your teeth in their corn-fed rib-eye served with steak fries, grilled corn and ranch dressing. To further amp up your expectation, Las Carretas has been voted the Top 10 places for best Margaritas by The Edge newspaper. Great food, especially their Wagyu beef cheeks and great margaritas – it’s a perfect place for dinner after a hard day’s work.

Grella’s is an American-themed dining located in ss19. Though it has American dishes in their menu, its halal as it is a Muslim owned restaurant – so be rest assured of spotting a multicultural makeover of customers! Serving American classics such as burgers, pastas, fish and chips, lamb chop and many more, Grella’s is definitely the place to be for a quick meal. As far as the steaks are concerned, it’s well marinated and cooked to perfection, and paired with mashed potatoes, brown sauce and coleslaw by the side. Simple and pretty localised and most importantly, delicious!
